We are living in an “outrage culture.” It is normal these days to be offended and to be bold about it either personally or on social media.
Finding Grace when we Fall
We don’t often think of ourselves as having a “kingdom” such as King David did. Yet, to gain a deeper understanding of our eternal kind of life in God’s present kingdom it is important to understand what a kingdom or queendom is. Theologian Dallas Willard states, "We each have one. It is a realm that is uniquely our own, where our choice determines what happens. This is a truth that reaches into the deepest part of what it is to be a person of the “rule” God gave us.”
Hope
Forgiveness
There are great, yet hard, lessons be learned from this week’s Bible study. These lessons are applicable any time in life but have profound and particular application here in 2020. We currently seem to be living in an US vs. THEM atmosphere. Right vs. wrong. There seems to be no middle ground. Mercy, grace and forgiveness seem to not even be a consideration. Yet they are exactly what God’s “upside down kingdom” call for in our Christian journey
Darkness
Many of the beautiful Psalms David wrote were written as he went from cave to cave in order to escape Saul and his men. They were honest words written about honest and hard situations. Some are basically “fussing” at God, others express his deep trust in the character of God. What Psalm or song could you write this week - no matter what the circumstances of your life?

There is a lot of pressure in our lives right now. Even if you don’t have Covid-19 or have lost your job, there is a strong undercurrent of stress, grief, worry and sometimes even fear. The world has changed. Things will be different moving forward. The very earth has seemingly shifted beneath our feet. We are trying to find our balance. How do we deal with the turbulent times in which we live?
