People often pray for revival and renewal. However tough times are when revival, renewal and repentance tend to occur. Could this be a pivotal time of God calling for revival and renewal? In our country? In our churches? In our own personal lives? In your life?

What does a life of faith look like in these pivotal circumstances, whether they be positive or negative?

Our desires are quite easily turned into compulsions and obsessions and often lead into wild over consumption. Our desires become cravings, the ultimate pursuit on a daily basis, and then can become the focus of our entire lives.

According to a Barna study, the number one question people would ask God is “why is there suffering in the world?” It is a question that keeps many people from considering God in their lives. If God is good but there are bad things in the world, is He REALLY good?

When our “normal” is disrupted, we can become rattled, disoriented, and fearful. You may be experiencing these emotions and many others during this “shelter in place” time in history. We can tend to lose sight of our ONE constant in life - - Jesus.

Today is Palm Sunday. It is now clear that Holy Week will not be what we envisioned six months or even six weeks ago. However, I encourage you to see the events we are experiencing as an invitation to approach this week in a new way
