Connecting at Rockhills
God doesn’t want us to live life alone. We are meant to live in community with other believers, to share our joys and our trials with each other. Getting involved with a small group of people is an important first step to growing in your faith. To find out more or connect with any of these groups, scroll to the bottom of this page and let us know the best way to get in touch with you.
We believe that life is meant to be done “together.” So the main place for adults to connect at Rockhills is our RockGroups. A RockGroup is a group of 6-12 people that meet a couple of times each month in homes or wherever life happens. The purpose of these groups is to “do life together” and to help each other grow in faith. We usually spend some time in spiritual conversation with one another, check in on life needs and share a great meal! There are several groups located around the city — some are adding new people and new groups are forming all the time.
The Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are the Word of God. They were
written by human authors, under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit.
Therefore the Word of God is inspired by God and is his revealed truth without
error - essential for understanding salvation and how to live faithfully. We host a variety of Bible studies for men and women, both online and in person. You can go to our events page to see what studies are currently being offered.
We hold monthly events, such as socials at local restaurants, game nights, and painting parties. These fun events are a great place to bring friends to introduce them to Rockhills, or to come and get to know other women at Rockhills. You can find upcoming women’s events on our events page, and if you do Facebook, we invite you to join our group at Rockhills Women.
Several times a year we host a Steaks & Stogies night, where guys can hang out and get to know each other. This is a great time to invite friends to join you, or to come and join in the conversation yourself.
Rockhills also has a yearly men’s mission trip to Honduras with Impact Water. We work to provide clean water to a remote village while partnering with the men of the village to strengthen their faith and their families.
Are you a dude? Do you like movies? The Rockhills Movie Dudes get together once or twice a month to go out to manly movies (no chick-flicks here). If you would like to be on the list to be notified whenever a movie excursion is in the works, fill out the form at the bottom of this page. Movietime, dudes!
Women's Contemplative Hikers
You are invited to join Jan Hassler for a weekly hike that combines exercise with some spiritual talk, question asking and prayer.
We hike local wilderness areas and greenbelts on weekday mornings, usually for about an hour at a moderate pace. To get the details of where and when, fill out the form below.
